The Slovak Society for Evaluation was
established to support development of theory and practice
in evaluation. Educational, research and information
activities of the Society contribute to increasing general
awareness of importance of evaluation and its practical
use. The Slovak Society for Evaluation is a member of the
European Evaluation Society and the network of the
National Evaluation Societies of Europe.
Establishment of the Slovak Society for
Evaluation reflected the increasing importance of the
evaluation in design and effective management of public
policies and interventions responding to real needs of the
society. At the same, there was an absence of any
activities aiming at building evaluation culture and
cooperation between relevant actors in Slovakia.
The Society serves as a platform for professional
public to exchange knowledge and experience in evaluation
domain, actively cooperating with partners from abroad.
Academics, representatives of public sector, evaluation
commissioners and managers as well as evaluators actively
participate as members of the Society.
